"A Wonderful Place to Visit",   by The Rodgers Family from Virginia

Date of Arrival January 2011

"Left the cold winter mess in Virginia to come to the warm and beautiful St Croix.  A wonderful place to visit or someday live.  The Pink House is great.  A wonderful layout with plenty of room.   We really enjoyed our conversations with Weston (the Pink House Caretaker) and the fresh coconuts he brought us.  Thanks for everything."

"Check out our pictures... they say it all...", by Casey and Becky from Connecticut

Date of arrival 15 Jan 2011

From 20 inches of snow in Connecticut to 20 feet of clear blue / green water.  What a beautiful sight.  The Pink House was the perfect spot for our stay.   Close to a lot of beaches Close to Christiansted and a quick trip to Point Udal.  We can say we ventured to the eastern most point in the USA!

Snorkeling with Barracuda  and Lobsters at Buck Island is a must.  Seeing the giant turtles in the ocean, gecko and hummingbirds every day is something we can get used to.  Last day of our stay here at the Pink House - going to enjoy some local food, come back sit on the deck and enjoy a Cruzan Rum... Check out the pictures of the Keil's stay on the Pink House St Croix Web site... They say it all.  Thanks, Becky and Casey"

What a serene and restorative twelve days we've had in the (Beautiful) Pink House!  We appreciated all the amenities an enjoyed making this our home base as we explored the island each day.  Your beach is the best -- what a paradise!    We hope to return!

"Your house was just perfect for our group of family and friends...  Enjoyed having the books and guides, and we used the clothesline and BBQ  a lot.  We spent lots of time in the water and saw a lot, but just couldn't fit everything in so I hope we'll be back."

"The Pink House is an incredible vacation home for anyone who enjoy a warm and welcoming home that is within walking-distance of a very intimate beach. We stayed for two weeks and loved it!   A priceless plus is the extremely nice owner of the house. Nothing but high praise!"

"Beautiful Island Home" by Irene , Germany
Date of Arrival  : Summer, 2010

"We had the pleasure of living in your Beautiful Island Home from July 1 - July 17 2010.  It has been a perfect starting point to enjoy the island's womders in the morning, and a welcoming shelter after a long day of snorkeling, canoeing, or strolling around in Christiansted.  We couldn't have felt more comfortable and safe.  Our family wedding on July tenth and our traditional "Potterabend" celebration at the Pickled Greek the night before will never be forgotten.  Now our family is even more bonded to St Croix - and we will all be sure to return soon.  Thank You Lori and Kris for sharing your home with us, You are always welcome in ours."

Relaxed and Refreshed

We had such a relaxing time there. The house was spacious and comfortable. One of the nicest houses we have ever rented. We spent a lot of time at the beach which we mostly had to ourselves. With the snorkel gear we rented from Dive Experience in Christiansted we were able to explore the reefs. On our last morning we saw that sea turtles had come ashore to lay their eggs. We did explore the island, but found that we had everything right there.    We have recommended this property to others.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Pink House. It was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The layout is such the breezes coming off the ocean kept the house cool using just the ceiling fans. We took our vacation with another couple and there was plenty of room for all of us. We also have to mention the caretaker, Mr. Brandt, was one of the nicest people we've ever met. He stopped by to make sure we were comfortable when we arrived and brought over coconuts, limes, and grapefruit during our stay. It's just a short walk to the private beach area and it was very nice and private. We spent some relaxing mornings reading and painting at the beach - great way to start the day! We heard from some locals the snorkeling around that beach is some of the best on the island. While we were exploring the area around the house, we found a trail that led us to the Chenay Bay Beach Resort. It was only a short 10 minute walk to Cheney Bay where the ocean was calm and you could walk along the beach all the way to a nearby marina. There were also several places along the beach that were marked as turtle nesting areas. We have already recommended the Pink House to friends and look forward to staying there again on our next trip to St. Croix.

The walk to the secluded beach gives you some exercise and time to take in the sights and sounds of the serene neighborhood. The view of Buck Island from the beach and the underwater sights while snorkeling make you wonder why this place isn't flooded with tourists. We were happy to keep the secret.

The house itself has a convenient driveway and nice gardens surrounding it. The outdoor shower was a nice feature in order to rinse the sand and salt before coming home. And, this house feels like your home while you are lucky enough to stay here. I stayed here with good friends from Ireland and California so we could spend time with two of our favorite St. Croix locals. Our reunion would not have been the same if we did not have the Pink House to call home base.

The iPod sound system filled the house with our own music. That was an unexpected plus. Be sure to bring your iPod or iPhone. Having wireless Internet and a local phone with unlimited free calls was greatly appreciated. No cell service at the house, so having the house phone made things easy.   We utilized the kitchen and dining rooms for some great dinners. The blender was made for vacation! We used local fruits and local rums to create some great blends.

The owner, Kris, made sure we were satisfied with the house before, during, and after our stay. The description and photos here are true to the property. The caretaker, Mr. Brandt, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, even though it was Easter week. We stayed at Pink House from 3/31/10 through 4/8/10.

We tried The Pickled Greek restaurant nearby and had a blast. Other places I would recommend are Good Spirits, Chenay Bay, Schooner Bay market, and others are all within a reasonable drive.

The house is beautifully furnished, roomy, and clean. I wish I was sitting on that front porch with my friends again. This vacation made some great memories for me, and this house was a big part of it.   I would recommend this house to everyone, except college students. The neighborhood is quiet, and they like to keep it that way.

Trying to describe the Pink House and St Croix is difficult, because it is hard to believe.   Warm winds soften the hardness that comes from the hustle and bustle of life and cool breezes propel through the house to bring an extreme sense of calm and relaxation.   The island has the versatility to keep you busy every day with a new activity or allow you to lay back, walk to the beach and do whatever you want on your own time.   The house does the same, allowing you to explore the Cecilia Mill ruins just in the backyard, read in the house, listen to music from you mp3 player on the stereo, cook a gourmet meal and enjoy it with the sounds of the ocean always lulling you and your into a dream state.

Prior to my visit, I thought that it was too good to be true, that there had to be some catch, but it is a bonafide gem. Sleep comes easy with comfortable beds, air conditioning if you so choose and days that can help to ware you out. Kris is an amazing property owner who will make you feel at home and answer your every question, insuring the best trip possible. The weather is just as accommodating.  Don't wait, just go and you will most certainly not regret it.

Modern, spacious home with "old island architecture" and beautiful gardens. Very nice. Wonderful view of the Carribean and Buck Island from the sunning deck. Good location, close to much of the best dining on the island. Sand beach within walking distance. Simple rental process. Will rent again.

"Pink House - great vacation"

The pink house made for a great vacation for our family. Kris was a completely accommodating homeowner who made our entire experience positive. Kris went out of his way to provide us with as much information as possible to make sure that we had a great vacation. The house is very spacious and gives you plenty of room to enjoy each others company while still providing privacy in its three bedrooms. The GPS map that Kris provided made getting around the island much easier and made left sided driving much less hectic. It also made it possible for us to fully explore the island without being worried about getting lost. Kris gave us a number of restaurant recommendations which we found to be very helpful in deciding where to eat. Overall, we had a great rental experience and would definitely recommend the pink house for your vacation

Thanks so much for opening your home to us. It felt as though we were guests and not renters. You have a beautiful home in a relaxed setting with an incredible and secluded beach. It is the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. I can tell you my favorite part of the house was the tv room / office / front gallery. The mahogany chaise lounge chairs are fabulous and having the ability to roll them outside was heavenly. Weston (your caretaker) was helpful and enjoyable. He is one of the best I have met. He was wonderful to us. I have a friend I directed to your website. She and her husband are very interested in renting your home and will be contacting you in the future. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to escape to a beautiful island.
